Description
Parent-Tot (Tadpoles 6mo.-3yr.)

This course is a perfect introduction for your child to the water
environment. In this course the child is accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Games and exercises are led by an instructor. Emphasis is on water
adjustment, exploring the pool, front kick, back float, rolling over,
bubble blowing, and underwater exploration.

Tiny Tots (Guppies 3-5yr.)
|
|
This course is designed to help teach preschool-aged students to
skills that are needed for introduction into the "LEARN TO SWIM"
program. Emphasis is on jumping in, front kick, bobbing, underwater
exploration, back glide, arm stroke action, back and front float.

Level 1 (Seal)
|
|
For children with little or no swimming skill. The purpose is to
create a sound foundation. Emphasis is on supported floating, kicking on
front and back, alternating arm action, water safety rules, how to get
help, and reaching assists.
|
Level 2 (Dolphin)
|
|
For children with a level 1 card or skills equivalent to level 1.
Includes floating and kicking on front and back, orientation to deep water,
retrieve objects, hold breath, and perform reaching and extension assist
from deck.

Level 3 (Shark)
|
|
For children with a level 2 card or skills equivalent to level 2.
Includes fundamentals of elementary backstroke, prone glide, treading
water, back crawl, jumping into deep water from side of pool, diving from
kneeling position, crawl stroke with side breathing, rescue breathing
basics.

Level 4 (Orca)
|
|
For children with a level 3 card or skills equivalent to level 3.
Includes deep water bobbing, introduction of breaststroke and sidestroke,
turns at wall, rotary breathing, and dive from side of pool from stride and
standing positions, front crawl, back crawl, introduction to rescue
breathing.

Level 5 (Barracuda)
|
|
For children with a level 4 card or skills equivalent to level 4.
Includes alternate breathing, swimming underwater, introduction to
butterfly, open turns on front and back, as well as diving safety.
Continues refinement of front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, and
sidestroke.

Competitive Swim
|
|
This course is for children who have met level 5 requirements. It is
designed to get children ready for swim team.
|
Private Swim Lessons
|
|
This course is designed so that both adults and children can get some
one-on-one time with an instructor. Parents/student may request specific
skills to work on. Otherwise, the instructor will choose an appropriate
skill.
